Free Software for Trainee Teachers

RM Education supports the Initial Teacher Training Software Site Licence (ITTSSL) as agreed by BESA (the British Educational Suppliers Association), the ITTE (The Association for Information Technology in Teacher Education) and the TDA (Training and Development Agency).

This means that we will provide a site licence for any of our Textease tools free of charge to establishments with Initial Teacher Training provision. Click here for licence terms and conditions.

The purpose of the agreement is to ensure that ICT can be more easily embedded in training institutions, thus influencing the competence and confidence of tomorrow's teachers.

Together with the licence we will ship up to 20 CDs per establishment. If you require further CDs, please let us know.

FREE licences for students

Under the ITTSSL agreement all Initial Teacher Training (ITT) students are also entitled to a copy of our software in use at their ITT establishment. However their licence is only valid whilst they are undertaking their initial teacher training and for one year after they have graduated. After this period students should cease to use the software and uninstall it from their PCs. The software given to students for use during their training does NOT licence use of the software in any school.

If you are a student at an establishment that does not have an ITTSSL licence for Textease Studio CT or Textease Publisher CT you can still purchase these from us at a discounted price of just £25 and £10.
